Nedbank Private Wealth Announces Appointment of Andrew Corlett OBE as Chair
30 September 2025

Nedbank Private Wealth has announced Andrew Corlett OBE as Chair of its Board. While subject to regulatory approval, the appointment has the unanimous support of the Board, reflects the firm’s commitment to continuity, stability, and the high standards established under the leadership of the late Errol Kruger, who passed away in April.
Andrew joined the Nedbank Private Wealth Board in March 2020 as a Non-Executive Director, bringing with him a distinguished career spanning legal, financial, and public service leadership. A non-practising English Solicitor and Manx Advocate, he is a past President of the Isle of Man Law Society and was awarded an OBE in 2015 for his services to the economy.
From 1998 to June 2019, Andrew served as Chairman and Managing Director of Cains, a leading legal and professional services group and recipient of the Queen’s Award for Excellence in International Trade. His experience also includes serving on numerous Isle of Man Government and Supranational Committees, as well as holding former Non-Executive Directorships including Chairman of Barclays Private Clients International and positions within the HSBC and Swire Groups.
Andrew’s current Non-Executive Directorships include the global fiduciary group Equiom and Gibbs Technologies. His wealth of experience and global perspective have been instrumental in shaping Nedbank Private Wealth’s governance and strategic direction over recent years.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Corlett OBE said “It is an honour to take on the role of Chair at such a significant moment in the bank’s journey. Errol was an exceptional leader whose vision and dedication helped shape the success and reputation we enjoy today. I look forward to building on this legacy, supporting our talented leadership team, and ensuring we continue to provide the clarity, confidence, and personal service that our clients value so highly.”
Stuart Cummins, Chief Executive Officer of Nedbank Private Wealth, added: “Andrew’s appointment reflects our commitment to continuity and the values that define Nedbank Private Wealth. He has been a trusted voice on our Board for many years, combining strategic acumen with a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. His leadership will help guide us through the next phase of our growth, ensuring we remain a trusted partner for generations to come.”
As Nedbank Private Wealth moves forward, the bank will continue to strengthen its offering to meet the evolving needs of high-net-worth clients – from navigating complex cross-border wealth structures to delivering tailored investment strategies. Andrew’s appointment ensures that the principles of stability, trust, and excellence remain at the heart of its mission.
