As Grant Thornton Isle of Man continues to build on its reputation as the Island’s leading audit and advisory specialist, the company has strengthened its team with the appointment of Claire Watterson.

She will join the firm’s new insolvency resolution division which provides contentious insolvency solutions to clients with a series of robust and pragmatic strategies designed to maximise recovery.

Claire further strengthens Grant Thornton’s dynamic team of experienced insolvency professionals in the Island. The firm recently launched its insolvency resolution practice comprising a team of insolvency and forensic specialists, which already has considerable experience of complex insolvency assignments.

She brings a wealth of experience to the role and joins from Douglas-based CW Consulting Limited where she was a Senior Manager, working closely with both local and international lawyers to bring and defend claims in various jurisdictions.

Director Richard Ratcliffe said:

‘I delighted am to welcome Claire to the team and am confident she will be a valuable addition and someone who is pivotal in our future development as the business continues to evolve. She brings outstanding skills and experience in a variety of regulated businesses, including advisory skills and management of large litigious liquidations.

‘Claire will contribute significantly to our ongoing work and the provision of contentious insolvency services and someone.’

Claire added:

‘The opportunity to join such a respected organisation was very attractive and I look forward to working as part of such a dedicated team and those in the large network of other Grant Thornton member firms.’

Independent assurance, tax and advisory firm, Grant Thornton has significant experience in dealing with global cases requiring extensive asset tracing and recovery skills.
