PwC Isle of Man has appointed two new partners to further strengthen its leadership team.

Ferran Munoz-Lopez and Paul Jones, who both work in the firm’s assurance practice, have a combined 30 years’ experience with PwC.

Paul joined the practice as a trainee, later progressing to manager and director. He has been PwC Isle of Man’s insurance leader for a number of years with significant interaction with the Manx Insurance Association and the Isle of Man Captive Association.

His clients include a wide range of financial services industries, where he specialises in audit, technical accounting projects and insurance industry regulation.

As a partner, Paul will oversee the organisation’s audit transformation plans and leveraging of PwC’s latest methodology and technology offerings to help clients including Halo, PwC’s leading-edge technology for auditing via data extraction.

Ferran - who joined PwC Isle of Man in 2009, initially on secondment from PwC Barcelona - joins him as a partner. During a career spanning more than 18 years, Ferran’s audit and accounting work has seen him immersed in a broad range of industries including automotive, retail, mining, banking, life insurance, shipping and investment property.

More recently his focus has been on PwC Isle of Man’s e-gaming clients and the delivery of the recently launched solution to support the audit of cryptocurrency. Ferran also plays a prominent role in the firm’s digital proposition.

Ferran will now oversee the firm’s market facing activity and business development, shaping service propositions to meet current and future needs.

Ian Clague, Senior Partner with PwC Isle of Man, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Ferran and Paul to the partnership. They have different, but complementary skills, however, both share a drive and motivation to succeed and are an essential part of our team.

‘It is a tremendous achievement for them to reach this summit and their elevation underpins the next stage in the evolution of the firm.

‘It is hugely satisfying to see talented individuals progress and I am sure our new partners will help our clients achieve results both now and, in the future, anticipating tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges.’
