Simcocks Advocates is pleased to announce the appointment of Irish barrister, Peter Maughan, as Head of Litigation at the Douglas law firm.

Peter will head up the Dispute Resolution team, having a strong background in litigation.

He has fifteen years’ post-qualified experience in commercial law at the Irish and UK Bar.  Additionally, Peter has lectured extensively to prospective solicitors in ‘Equity and the Law of Trusts’ and in ‘Contract Law’.

His main areas of practice are commercial and company law, insolvency, trusts (non-contentious), property, construction and estate disputes and inquests.

Peter studied at University College Dublin, at which he was awarded a rugby scholarship and two ‘colours’ medals.  He then gained his Barrister-at-Law degree at The Honorable Society of King's Inns.
