Earlier this month Locate Isle of Man executed the Island's first employment fair geared specifically to returning Isle of Man students and graduates. Recent diversification in the economy has seen the Island become home to a vibrant range of businesses, and with growth projected across many sectors there has never been a better time to return home and consider kick starting your career in the Isle of Man.

The event was specifically focussed on graduate opportunities and reimagining what a career in the Isle of Man can offer; including accelerated career progression, excellent quality of life and a safe and rewarding community of likeminded individuals.

Delegates were able to gain insight from H.R. and recruitment professionals, brush up their CV skills and interview technique in interactive workshops with some of the Island's leading employment agencies, and network with representatives from local businesses looking to recruit.

There was also an impressive series of speakers, all of whom were graduates and making their mark on the Island in their respective field, presented throughout the day to inspire attendees about where a career in the Island can take you.

The financial services sector was well represented on the day by Appleby, Crowe Morgan, Deloitte, Harding Lewis, HSBC, KPMG, PWC, Manx Insurance Association, SMP Partners, Standard Bank and Zurich. 

Michael Crowe, Chief Executive, Finance Isle of Man commented:

 ‘A wonderful event ran by Locate to support our returning graduates. It was encouraging to see a great turnout by attendees and also to see the finance sector represented so well. A large number of companies on the day commented that they had positions within their organisations ready to be filled and showcased the opportunities here returning graduates as well as highlighting how quickly a career can flourish on the Island.’
