As of the end of May, the legal firm transferred the business to Crowe Trust, part of Douglas-based accountancy firm Crowe Isle of Man LLC, and is concentrating its expertise on its other key service areas on the Isle of Man namely; family law, property and land matters, private client and commercial law.

CBAS long serving staff Julie Ronan and Joanne Richardson will be joining Crowe Trust.

Sally Bolton, Director at Corlett Bolton, said: ‘As a leading firm established for more than 25 years, with offices in Douglas, Peel and Port St Mary, we pride ourselves on providing personal, easily accessible legal services for our clients, and this transfer will allow us to build on this existing local business.

‘As a continuously developing business we shall still be offering our highly regarded private client services and will remain in close contact with our colleagues at Crowe, and we’re pleased to come to this agreement with such an established and well regarded local firm. This transfer will enable us to grow the existing services we offer and we’re confident CBAS will continue to thrive under the helm of Crowe Trust.’

Phaedra Bird, Managing Director from Crowe Trust said: ‘We’re delighted to enter this transfer agreement with Corlett Bolton. As a firmly established corporate and trust service provider in the Isle of Man, taking over the business of CBAS was an opportunity we couldn’t miss.
