Charterhouse Lombard Limited (“Lombard”) is pleased to announce that Jessica Coutts, Jonathan Leece and Pamela Smith-Hamer will be taking up positions on the Board of Directors of the firm.

This follows a significant contribution from all three over particularly the last two years, but also a commitment to the future growth plans for Lombard.

Jessica Coutts joined the Group in 2004 and moved to Lombard in 2010. Jessica qualified as an Accountant at the firm and now heads up the Accounting function both internal and client accounting. Jessica is a Fellow of the ACCA and is currently deputy Chair on the IOM ACCA panel.

“I have really enjoyed my time at the Group. I have seen it change so much and I am really looking forward to continuing our growth phase” said Jessica Coutts. “To be backed by our shareholder, it gives our new look Board an increased confidence to push on.”

Pamela concurred with Jessica and went on to say “To have real independence and be locally owned and not backed by VC means we can foster long term relationships with our clients.” She went on to say “We want our clients to feel like they have a personal relationship with people who can make decisions. With our growth plans we are adamant that we will continue to value our clients and the relationships we have with them. We will remain a traditional provider of professional services.”

Pamela has been with Lombard virtually from education. After a short period at a local bank Pamela joined Lombard in 1997 and is the longest serving member of staff.

Jonathan joined Lombard in early 2017 after a varied career in investment management, trust and company, banking and funds with experience of jurisdictions including the UK, Hong Kong, Cayman Islands, Jersey and Guernsey. He is a past President of the regional Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI) and is a Chartered Fellow of CISI and also a Certified Professional Fellow of the International Compliance Association.

“I am so happy to be part of a team that are all pulling in the same direction and share a vision. The culture we try to create is for everyone to enjoy working at Lombard towards common goals. With our growth we have had some great opportunities for our team members to personally grow but also grow our ranks. The new additions have given us operational flexibility which helps us service our client’s better.” said Jonathan

Chris Broadhead Group Managing Director added “I am delighted to recognise the commitment of Jess, Jonathan and Pam and added significant weight to the board, both in terms of ideas, experience and different skill sets. All three have been a large support to me personally and also making a significant contribution to the business and the growth we have enjoyed”. Chris went on to say “The Senior Management Team has overseen a period of unprecedented change at Lombard. This change has seen a number of acquisitions, a rebrand, a change of software responsible for a large part of the delivery of our services, regulatory changes, increase in staffing including inward investment by way of training and professional exams, all whilst maintaining a profitable organisation.”

Jessica, Jonathan & Pamela’s appointments continues a successful tradition of promoting staff from within the business and forms part of Lombard’s long term development and growth strategy.
