Upon completing her A-Level exams, Dionne took the leap to go straight into full-time employment, deciding that a role which gave her opportunities to develop professionally whilst also gaining practical experience held a certain interest for her.
‘When leaving school, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I did know that I wanted to do something that would challenge me and enable me to further a career pathway. Temping at Financial Options beforehand gave me an insight into the financial sector and made it easy to accept when they offered me a permanent role’.
Financial Options has provided Dionne with amazing support, both in terms of support of study leave and funding all of her exams and further learning.
Since joining Financial Options in 2017 as a mortgage administrator, Dionne completed her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, becoming a qualified mortgage adviser in July 2019. She is now currently studying towards her Diploma in Financial Planning which she hopes to complete by April 2021.
‘I absolutely love my job, it does come with stress and managing a lot of clients all at once, but it is a highly satisfying position seeing the smiles on your customers faces after helping them achieve their goal of owning their own home’.
Dionne’s’ hard work is celebrated by her being nominated and winning the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Emerging Professional of the Year award, which is awarded to a new CII entrant who has made significant strides in their professional development.
