Proliferation and Proliferation Finance

Industry sectors across the Isle of Man are invited to an awareness session on Proliferation and Proliferation Finance, delivered by Edgar Lopez, Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit in Gibraltar. Edgar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field and we are fortunate that he has been able to identify some time in a very busy schedule to join us in person in the Isle of Man to share this in person.

As an International Finance Centre and business centre with a global reach, the Island must remain alert and ready to respond to emerging threats in all areas of international financial crime. Edgar will outline definitions, stages of funding and red flags for recognising potential activity, as well as an overview of the relevant sanctions regimes in place to combat Proliferation and Proliferation Finance.

The sessions are particularly suitable for compliance professionals within regulated businesses, those in the manufacturing or maritime sector and charities with an international focus. However, anyone is welcome to attend. Identical sessions will be scheduled in the morning and afternoon of 7 February each with a capacity of 150.
