IOD Isle of Man - Ladies lunch with Love Tech

27TH NOVEMBER, 12-2PM

LOCATION: 1886 BAR & GRILL, DOUGLAS, IOM

Join IOD Isle of Man for their final ladies lunch of 2019, at 1886. Guests will have the opportunity to catch-up with fellow members and connect with new faces at the informal event, where they will be joined by representatives from Love Tech.

Love Tech was launched by Claire Milne of Appleby, Deb Byron of Hansard and Roberta Castle of Continent 8 Technologies, all of whom have vast experience working in or alongside the technology sector and a combined passion, to increase the number of women choosing technology based careers.

Operating as a not-for-profit, the group now consists of a growing committee of sixteen volunteer business leaders and technologists, ten female mentors working in STEM roles on the Isle of Man and more than twenty five volunteers from the wider community. Passionate about inspiring and empowering girls and young women to explore opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), the collective delivers a busy events programme, interactive workshops and mentorship on the Isle of Man.

They imagine a World in which women and men have truly equal opportunities, representation and recognition in STEM careers and academia and with the support of corporate sponsors and the wider local community, Love Tech is gaining momentum.
